Commendable accomplishment through Summer Work Program

As part of Summer Work Program, secondary school students in Logo-Anseba sub-zone have been carrying out commendable soil and water conservation activities since 12 July 2016. 
Gash-Barka, 27 July 2016 – As part of Summer Work Program, secondary school students in Logo-Anseba sub-zone have been carrying out commendable soil and water conservation activities since 12 July 2016. 

According to Mr. Simon Kifle, head of Forestry and Wildlife at the Ministry of Agriculture, 450 students are carrying out soil and water conservation activities and that include construction of terraces and renovation of roads in different sites of Mekerka, Adi-Neamn and in Liban.

The students participating in the Summer Work Program expressed that the soil and water conservation program would have been effective had planting tree seedlings been included.
