Asmara, 17 August 2016- The participants of Summer Work Program who have been engaged in soil and water conservation activities have called for proper protection of the already planted tree seedlings.
Pointing out that spending one’s vacation time in reforestation and other developmental activities is of a paramount importance, the participants of SWP said that there is nothing rewarding than observing the already planted seedlings reach to the point of covering a large area of land with vegetations.
Meanwhile, resident of Arebate Asmera have carried out soil and water conservation popular campaign.
The residents expressed readiness to continue the popular campaing adhering to the guidelines they receive from agricultural experts and as per the information they obtain from administrative bodies.
Indicating that soil and water conservation activities carried out in the past years have borne fruitful outcome, MS. Sara Tesfamichael, managing director in the Arbate Asmera sub-zone , said that the popular campaign will continue in an enhanced manner.
