Mendefera, 04 October 2017 – The Bee Farmers Association in the Adi Quala sub zone conducted an activity assessment meeting.
Presenting two years activity report, the secretary of the association, Mr. Tedros Woldehawariat indicated that the association which was established in 2009 is exerting coordinated effort to augment honey production.
The head of Agriculture at the sub zone Mr. Niguse Weldemichael on his part, indicating on the importance of coordinated effort for mutual benefit, reminded the farmers to increase their effort for increased production being encouraged by the support they are provided.
The head of Bee farming at the livestock resources branch in the Southern region, Mr. Zaid Tekle on his part indicating on the significance of strengthening organization for better production, called on the other bee farmers to join the association.
The Adi Quala bee farmers association has 75 members with more than one thousand modern beehives.
