Harat Transportation Company expanding service

As part of its efforts to expand transportation service to remote parts of the country, the Harat Transportation Company has begun providing service from and to Asmara-Ade QeTekula, Dubarwa sub zone.

Asmara, 13 November 2017- As part of its efforts to expand transportation service to remote parts of the country, the Harat Transportation Company has begun providing service from and to Asmara-Ade QeTekula, Dubarwa sub zone.

The head of operation at the company, Mr. Tsegehans Yitebarek reported that 15 villages of Kisad-Daero, Gertetin, and Ade-Qetekula administrative areas will be beneficiaries of the newly opened transportation line which extends 71 kilometers.

Calling on the public to conduct regular road maintenance activities to ensure the sustainability of the transportation service, the head of the company in the Southern region, Mr. Ahmed Ali-Shum on his part indicated that in addition to the transportation service provided daily from and to Asmara-Ade Qetekula, there is a plan to provide transportation service from and to Mendefera-Ade Qetekula during market days.

The beneficiaries on their part indicated that with the deployment of the bus with a fair tariff, the existed transportation problem they have being experiencing will be alleviated. They also expressed readiness to assume responsibility to ensure the sustainability of the transportation service.

In the same vein, it was indicated that the Harat transportation company has begun providing transportation service from and to Shiketi-Dubarwa with a view to alleviate the problem the secondary school students from the area were facing. The company also reports that it has a plan to commence transportation service from Tera Emni to Dubarwa.

It is to be recalled that earlier this year, the Harat Transportation Company opened transportation services from and to Asmara-Takita and Adi Nahbay villages of the Dubarwa sub zone.
