Asmara, 04 January 2018 – Meetings aimed at discussing the chartered out development programs for 2018 were conducted in Serejaka and Dubarwa sub zones, ERINA reports.
At the meeting the administrator of the Serejaka sub zone held with residents, it was indicated that that owing to the successful activities conducted in 2017, thanks to the active engagement parents and school management and teachers the students’ interest in education has increased. At the meeting it was also stated that the participants reached an agreement to play enhanced role in maintaining the sustainability of the successful achievements.
It was also stated that in 2017, commendable achievements have been registered in terms of preventing communicable diseases and ensuring environmental sanitation, construction of roads and renovation with a view to interconnect the administrative areas of the sub-zones and thereby enable residents become beneficiary of transportation services, water and soil conservation activities as well as planting 250 thousand tree seedlings.
The Administrator of the Serejaka sub zone, Mr. Tesfu Fissehatsion stated that the charted out programs for 2018 will be implemented in greater capacity and called for integrated action of the public and area administrations.
In a similar meeting conducted in the Dubarwa sub zone, the Administrator of the sub zone, Mr. Abraham Teka stated that in 2017 commendable activities including land allocation, tax collection, and potable water pipelines and extension activities were conducted.
Commending the participation of the students, the public and the members of the EDF in the national development drives, Mr. Abraham called for enhanced effort.
The participants on their part expressed readiness to increase contribution in the success of set out development drives.
