Eritrean community festival in Australia concludes

The 18th annual Eritrean community festival in Australia that was underway from 12 to 15 January under the theme “Laying Pillars for Vibrant Development concluded with patriotic zeal.

Asmara, 19 January 2018- The 18th annual Eritrean community festival in Australia that was underway from 12 to 15 January under the theme “Laying Pillars for Vibrant Development concluded with patriotic zeal.

The annual festival in which a number of nationals, Australian government dignitaries, members of the diplomatic Corps as well as friends of Eritrea took part, was highlighted with pictorial exhibition depicting the exceptional architectural buildings of Asmara, seminar on the objective situation in the homeland, cultural and artistic performances, workshops on varied topics as well as sports competitions.

Likewise, activity assessment meeting was also conducted in which representatives of the national associations participated.

Prices were also handed over to winners of the sports competitions.

Indicating that the festival has been successful in all aspects, the General Consul of Eritrea in Australia, Mr. Mehari Tekeste expressed appreciation to those who contributed for the success of the festival.
