Meeting on Implementation of Development Programs

The Governor of Anseba region, Mr. Ali Mahmud, held a meeting with residents of the Administrative areas of Shebek, Adi-Arei and Adi-Omar on implementation of development programs.

Asmara, 7 April 2018 – The Governor of Anseba region, Mr. Ali Mahmud, held a meeting with residents of the Administrative areas of Shebek, Adi-Arei and Adi-Omar on implementation of development programs.

Noting that the projects underway through the integrated effort on the part of the government and the local inhabitants is making significant contribution in improving the lives of the society, Mr. Ali called the  residents to strengthen participation and to send their children to school.

The Administrator also called for reinforced participation of the local inhabitants in soil and water conservation programs in order to redress the environment and the natural habitat.

Pointing out that soil and water conservation has significant contribution in augmenting productivity, Ms. Amna Haj, Administrator of Hagaz sub-zone, called for integrated effort to stop the deforestation activities that are being witnessed.

The inhabitants commended the deployment of a bus from Hagaz to the Administrative areas of Ashera, Adi-Arei, Kermed and Adi-Omar, which has alleviated the transportation problem they were facing.
