Asmara, 26 April 2018- The Swedish branch of the National Union of Eritrean Women (NUEW) held six months activity assessment meeting on 21 and 22 April in Stockholm.
At the meeting in which representatives from the Swedish cities of Stockholm, Uppsala, Orebro, Gothenburg, Skara, Onebi, Lund, Malmo, Smaland and Flen took part, extensive discussion was held on the activity reports presented as well as on the future plan of activity.
Explaining the commendable contribution of the Eritrean women in the national issues, the chairperson of the branch union in Europe, Ms. Nigisti Tsegai called for strengthening participation for total emancipation.
In related news, Eritrean nationals, known the “Tsinat Group”, in Frankfurt held a meeting on 21 April.
The head of Public and Community Affairs, Mr. Kahsai Tewolde gave briefing regarding the role of youth in the struggle for independence, safeguarding the national sovereignty as well as in the success of the development drives.
The coordinator of the group, Mr. Zemicael Gebregergis said that the mission of the group is to portray the true image of Eritrea as well as the vision of the Eritrean people and Government to build a prosperous nation.
