Commendable vaccination activity

The Ministry of Health branch in the Anseba region reported that the distribution of Vitamin A, children’s vaccination and pre and post natal treatment that is being conducted through mobile health medical units at the Habero sub-zone is registering commendable result.

Keren, 05 October 2018- The Ministry of Health branch in the Anseba region reported that the distribution of Vitamin A, children’s vaccination and pre and post natal treatment that is being conducted through mobile health medical units at the Habero sub-zone is registering commendable result.

Indicating that Vitamin A has significant contribution in the physical development of children and in controlling infections and developing resistance to diseases, the branch office said that the program is being conducted in various parts of the region and especially at the remote areas.

Pointing out that distribution of Vitamin A and vaccination program is being conducted in all the villages in the sub-zone, Nurse Yonas Habtemariam, head of the Habero health station, said that there are over 100 village health coordinators overseeing environmental sanitation and are conducting commendable activities.

At the Habero sub-zone there is one health center at the Habero administrative area and two health stations at the administrative areas of Habero Tsaeda and Filfil.
