Asmara, 16 November 2018- The YPFDJ and PFDJ organizations in Sweden and Germany held various activities in support of the peace accord between Eritrea and Ethiopia.
According to report, the YPFDJ organization in Sweden held its 9th congress at the city of Yablovery on 11 November under the theme “Support the Peace Process and National Development Programs”. At the meeting the nationals adopted resolutions aimed at strengthening contribution in the national development drives.
The head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy, Mr. Sirak Bahlibi provided briefing on the timely mission of the national organizations and called on the youth to enhance their understanding on the current situation that is taking place in the region.
The participants voiced their support of the peace agreement between Eritrea, Ethiopia and Somalia and expressed resolve to contribute their due part in the success of the process. They also elected an executive committee for two years term.
In the same vein, PFDJ organization in Lower Eastern Germany conducted its annual meeting on 10 November in Cologne.
At the meeting Mr. Yohannes Woldu, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy gave briefing on the objective situation in the homeland and the region.
Mr. Kahsai Tewolde, head of Public and Community Affairs, also presented annual activity report of the organization.
