Halhal: Elections of area administrators

Election of area administrators, managing directors and village coordinators was held in Fenshebeku, Gebey-Alebu, May-Awalid, Melebso, Rehey, Kerxet and Enrekubet administrative areas in Halhal sub zone from 26 November to 3 December.

Keren, 07 December 2018 – Election of area administrators, managing directors and village coordinators was held in Fenshebeku, Gebey-Alebu, May-Awalid, Melebso, Rehey, Kerxet and Enrekubet administrative areas in Halhal sub zone from 26 November to 3 December.

According to Mr. Berhane Kahsai, Managing director in the sub zone, the participation of the public and the preparations conducted ahead of the elections day has been vital for the success of the elections.

Mr. Berhane also reminded the newly elected area administrators, managing directors and village coordinators to shoulder the responsibility the people bestowed on them by ensuring effective and efficient administrative services and playing leading role in the implementation of development drives.

It is to be recalled that elections of area administrators was conducted in Halhal urban center in mid of this year.

Halhal sub zone is located 54km north of Keren city and comprises 35 villages clustered in 8 administrative areas and is home to 32 thousand nationals.
