Vocational training to youth in Anseba region

At an activity assessment meeting held on 23 December the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students branch in Anseba region reported that in 2018 vocational trainings have been organized to 510 youth from the sub-zones of Keren, Elaberet, Halhal and Asmat.

Keren, 26 December 2018- At an activity assessment meeting held on 23 December the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students branch in Anseba region reported that in 2018 vocational trainings have been organized to 510 youth from the sub-zones of Keren, Elaberet, Halhal and Asmat.

The report indicated that more training programs will be organized in 2019 with a view to develop the capacity of youth in the region to enable them become self-supportive and productive members of the society.

The training programs will include ceramics, basic computer application, video editing, bee farming, palm leaf products as well as beauty saloon. The trainees will also have the opportunity of receiving free of credit loans to enable them develop their activities.

The report also indicated that the Keren Training Center has been fully renovated and will have significant contribution in developing the capacity of the youth in the region.

Mr. Azazi Bereketeab, head the union branch in the Anseba region, pointed out that sustainable awareness raising programs have been conducted with a view to strengthen the political and health awareness of the youth.
