Youth in the Southern Red Sea region had significant contribution in the implementation of 2018 development programs.
Assab, 04 January 2019- Youth in the Southern Red Sea region had significant contribution in the implementation of 2018 development programs. The report was made at an assessment meeting recently conducted in the port city of Assab.
According to report presented at the meeting, commendable activities have been conducted in increasing the political, social, cultural as well as organizational capacity of the youth in the region. It was also reported that most of the youth in the region have been organized in various youth clubs.
The head of the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students branch in the region, Mr. Osman Abdulkadir gave extensive briefing of the strengths and challenges encountered and called on all concerned bodies to reinforce participation in addressing the questions of the youth.
Speaking at the event, Ambassador Mohammed-Seid Mantai, Governor of the Southern Red Sea region, expressed readiness that the regional administration will stand alongside the union in all its endeavors to empower the youth.
