General Secretary of Synod gives benediction

His Holiness Abune Lukas, General Secretary of the Eritrean Tewahdo Orthodox Church, Synod, gave benediction in connection with Geez Christmas.

Asmara, 07 January 2019 – His Holiness Abune Lukas, General Secretary of the Eritrean Tewahdo Orthodox Church, Synod, gave benediction in connection with Geez Christmas.

Stating that this year’s Geez Christmas is being celebrated for the first time at a time of the unfolding peace between Eritrea and Ethiopia, the General Secretary of the Synod wished the peoples of Eritrea and Ethiopia a Happy New year and Merry Christmas.

His Holiness Abune Lukas also called on the faithful to support the families of the martyrs and extend hands to the sick and needy nationals.

Finally, the General Secretary of the Synod wished a Happy and Prosperous 2019 for the people and Government of Eritrea as well as members of the National Defense.
