Massawa, 19 April 2019- The Northern Red Sea region Assembly held meeting with the residents of Gelalo sub-zone on the outcome of its 15th regular meeting and on the implementation of the charted out development programs.
At the meeting held with the residents of the administrative areas of Bada, Buya, Ingele, and Gelalo semi-urban center it was reported that extensive discussion was conducted on the progress made and challenges encountered in the provision of educational and health services, potable water supply as well as soil and water conservation and agricultural activities.
Call was also made for increased participation of the community and stakeholders in encouraging parents send their children to school.
Mr. Mohammed Halo, director of Gelalo junior and high school, said that effort is being exerted to expand adult education program alongside the regular education.
The participants on their part conducted extensive discussion on the progress of the set out development programs and adopted various recommendations.
