Senior Eritrean delegation conducts productive visit to China

The senior Eritrean delegation comprising Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Presidential Adviser Mr. Yemane Gebreab has conducted productive visit to the Peoples Republic of China.

Asmara, 10 May 2019- The senior Eritrean delegation comprising Mr. Osman Saleh, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Presidential Adviser Mr. Yemane Gebreab has conducted productive visit to the Peoples Republic of China.

During its stay in China the delegation met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi focusing on bilateral relations and mutual cooperation as well as on regional and global issues of interest to both countries.

The delegation also met with Head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China and heads of various enterprises. The meeting with the Communist Part of China was focused on strengthening relations with PFDJ and cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.

Likewise, the delegation met with Eritrean students on scholarship in Beijing. The number of Eritrean students in Beijing is still low but growing with 63 receiving scholarships this year.
