The Ministry of Education branch in Anseba region in cooperation with partners organized vocational training to 218 youth in Keren in various skills including electricity, weaving, sculpture, computer technology and beauty salon.
Keren, 04 July 2019 – The Ministry of Education branch in Anseba region in cooperation with partners organized vocational training to 218 youth in Keren in various skills including electricity, weaving, sculpture, computer technology and beauty salon.
At a graduation ceremony conducted on 2 July, Mr. Tesfaberhan Mehansho, head of Administration and Finances of the Vocational Training Center said that the six-month training is part of the effort being exerted to provide disadvantaged youth with vocational training and enabling them become productive members of the society.
Mr. Tesfaberhan went on to say that youth graduated with various vocational fields in the last three rounds have already being provided with job opportunities and called on the newly graduates to follow their footsteps.
Mr. Kiflay Andemicael, head of the Ministry of Education branch in the Anseba region on his part called on the trainees to live up to the expectation of the nation and institutions to provide them with job opportunities.
Mr. Weldu Berhe, head of Quality Control of Adult Education at the Ministry of Education branch called on the trainees to practically upgrade their skills and become role models to their peers.
Anseba region Ministry of Education Vocational Training Center since its establishment has so far trained 690 students in four rounds.
