CECAFA U-15 football tournament concludes

The Central and Eastern Confederation of African Football Association (CECAFA) under 15 football tournament concludes in the presence of President of CAF, Mr. Ahmed Ahmed and other senior CECAFA officials.

Asmara, 30 August 2019- The Central and Eastern Confederation of African Football Association (CECAFA) under 15 football tournament concludes in the presence of President of CAF, Mr. Ahmed Ahmed and other senior CECAFA officials.

The national team of Rwanda stood third by winning the national team of Burundi 4 to 2 on penalties while the national teams of Kenya and Uganda played for the final.

The national team of Uganda became the first winner of the Central and Eastern Confederation of African Football Association (CECAFA) U15 beating the national team of Kenya 4 – 0.

The first Central and Eastern Confederation of African Football Association (CECAFA) under 15 football tournament was participated by the national teams from 10 Central and Eastern African countries including Eritrea, Burundi, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Ethiopia, and Tanzania.

Upon arrival at the Asmara International Airport today, Mr. Ahmed Ahmed, President of CAF was welcomed by Mr. Isaias Abraham, President of Eritrean National Football Federation and other officials of the federation.

In the course of his stay in Eritrea, Mr. Ahmed will held meeting with various officials focusing on the situation of football in Eritrea.
