Ambassador Sophia Tesfamariam presents credentials

Ambassador Sophia Tesfamariam, Permanent Representative of the State of Eritrea to the UN with rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented her credentials to the UN Secretary General, Mr. Antonio Guterres, yesterday. Asmara, 06 September 2019- Ambassador Sophia Tesfamariam, Permanent Representative of the State of Eritrea to the UN with rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, presented her credentials to the UN Secretary General, Mr. Antonio Guterres, yesterday.

At the occasion, Ambassador Sophia Tesfamariam and Mr. Antonio Guterres discussed ways and means of strengthening ties between Eritrea and the United Nations.

The UN Secretary General, Mr. Antonio Guterres, commended Eritrea’s vital role in the enhancement of regional peace and stability, and, expressed his best wishes for further progress in the years ahead.

Ambassador Sophia Tesfamariam also delivered message of goodwill from President Isaias Afwerki to the UN Secretary General.
