Gash Barka Governor conducts tour of inspection

The Governor of the Gash Barka region, Mr. Abraha Garza called for integrated community led efforts to put in place charted out social service provision institutions as well as implement development programs.

Barentu 15 October 2019 – The Governor of the Gash Barka region, Mr. Abraha Garza called for integrated community led efforts to put in place charted out social service provision institutions as well as implement development programs.  Chairman of the Assembly of the Gash Barka region, D.G. Social Services of the region, as well as heads of education and water development branches accompanied the Governor in the tour of inspection.

At the tour of inspection conducted from 7-12 October on the social service provision institutions put in place in Selia, Kerkebet, Forto-Sawa, Teseney, Haikota and Gogne sub zones, Mr. Abraha called on the public reinforce contribution in the implementation of charted out development drives as well as proper use of social service rendering institutions.

The tour of inspection included inspection of agricultural activities, objective situation of forest and wildlife, as well as use of social service rendering institutions and infrastructure among others.

Finally, it was stated that the Gash Barka administration in cooperation with partners will be involved in the renovation of damaged potable water distribution institutions, class rooms, as well as water diversion schemes, the report indicated.
