Meeting on implementation of development programs

The Governor of the Northern Red Sea region, Brig. Gen. Tekle Libsu conducted a meeting on 13 and 14 October with residents of Dahlak sub-zone focusing on the implementation of charted out development programs and conservation of historical and ancient heritage.

 

Massawa, 17 October 2019- The Governor of the Northern Red Sea region, Brig. Gen. Tekle Libsu conducted a meeting on 13 and 14 October with residents of Dahlak sub-zone focusing on the implementation of charted out development programs and conservation of historical and ancient heritage.

Brig. Gen. Tekle also visited the construction of projects related to fishing activities under construction at the administrative areas of Derbushet and Dihl at a cost of 5.4 million Nakfa and was provided briefing by the project coordinators.

The Governor said that effort will be exerted to enable the seven fisheries associations become beneficiaries of the projects being put in place.

Commending the water and soil conservation activities in the Dahlak sub-zone, Brig. Gen. Tekle called for strengthening participation for better outcome.

Brig. Gen. Tekle also called for strengthening the teaching-learning process and the residents to send their children to school.

Indicating that the Dahlak sub-zone is rich in historical and ancient heritage, Brig. Gen. Telke called for reinforced contribution in the effort to preserve them and transfer to posterity.
