Commission Culture and Sports organizes training on archaeology

The Commission of Culture and Sports organized training on archaeology from 14-17 January, here in the capital.

Asmara, 20 January 2020 – The Commission of Culture and Sports organized training on archaeology from 14-17 January, here in the capital.

At the training, 65 members of the commission of Culture and Sports including graduates of archaeology and anthropology took part.

The training which is part of the “Adulis Project 2020” was conducted by Eritrean and Italian field experts.

The four days training focused on scientific archaeological and anthropological research methods as well as preservation of ancient cultural heritages.

At the concluding ceremony, Ambassador Zemede Tekle, Commissioner of Culture and Sports, handing over certificate of recognition to the Italian trainers, expressed his belief that the trainees were provided with necessary knowledge on the field and called for their strengthened contribution in the research and preservation of archaeological and anthropological discoveries in the country.
