Asmara, 06 March 2020- Eritreans in the US and Republic of South Sudan conducted various activities aimed at strengthening organizational capacity and participation in the national development programs.
According to report various national associations in Bay Area, California, conducted their annual meeting on 29 February in Auckland.
At the meeting in which Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in the US, and Ms. Hadinet Keleta, head of Public Relations, took part the National Union of Eritrean Women and YPFDJ organizations conducted activity assessment meeting of 2019 and programs for 2020.
Indicating that in the past 20 years the national associations have conducted commendable activities, the participants expressed readiness to double fold effort in this new era for the successful implementation of the national development drives.
At the occasion, Mr. Berhane Gebrehiwet commended the strong resilience the nationals demonstrated in foiling external conspiracies against their homeland.
The participants also contributed 13,400 US Dollars for Sheib solar system project.
In the same vein, the Eritrean Embassy in the Republic of South Sudan organized a meeting to nationals in Juba aimed at strengthening unity and awareness of nationals.
At the meeting, Mr. Fuad Mohammed, head of Public and Community Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy, gave briefings on the effort exerted to strengthen organizational capacity of the youth and other national associations and called for reinforced participation in the successful implementation of national development programs.
The participants on their part expressed conviction to work for strengthening organizational capacity, unity and awareness of nationals.
