Initiative to contain spread of corona virus

The Governor of the Southern region, Mr. Habteab Tesfatsion reported that a task force has been established in all levels to control the spread of the corona virus pandemic in the Southern region.

Mendefera, 02 April 2020- The Governor of the Southern region, Mr. Habteab Tesfatsion reported that a task force has been established in all levels to control the spread of the corona virus pandemic in the Southern region.

Indicating that guideline has been issued to practice social distancing in market placed effective from 20 March, Mr. Habteab called on the public to abide by the guideline.

Mr. Habteab went on to say that continuous awareness raising activities are being conducted with a view to increase the awareness of the public on the significance of washing of hands and practicing social distancing in controlling the spread of the corona virus.

Mr. Habteab also said that corrective measures will be taken on those that violate the guidelines.
