Financial contributions to bolster the effort by the people and Government of Eritrea on COVID-19 continue to flow.

Asmara, 17 April 2020- Financial contributions to bolster the effort by the people and Government of Eritrea on COVID-19 continue to flow.

According to reports from the Ministry of Health, Eritrean missions abroad and from the regions, staff members of the Anseba regional office, sub-zonal administrations , Keren Municipality as well line ministries and others in the civil service contributed 1 million 820 thousand and 900 Nakfa, fish farmers cooperative in the Southern Red Sea region 100 thousand Nakfa, taxi owners association in the port city of Assab 10 thousand Nakfa, owners of Garages, driving schools and cycle repair shops 12 thousand and 44 Nakfa.

Similarly, Tsertsu construction 100 thousand Nakfa, workers’ association of  Eri-Tel 50 thousand Nakfa, Abubeker Mohammed tyres’ and battery shop 10 thousand Nakfa, workers of Asmara Palace Hotel 25 thousand Nakfa, ‘Sipa’ private company 10 thousand Nakfa, workers of Nyala Hotel 20 thousand Nakfa, Mr. Tesfai Solomon 30 thousand Nakfa, association of Agro-trade of  Eritrean Women 10 thousand Nakfa, Woldemicael Mehari steel work 20 thousand Nakfa, Ghidey Abera import export 10 thousand Nakfa, crops retailers 12 thousand and 150 Nakfa, smith shops owners in Akordet 3 thousand Nakfa and bee farmers association in Mendefera sub-zone 10 thousand Nakfa

In related news Eritrean nationals residing in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark in addition to the 2 million and 300 thousand Kroner they contributed previously they contributed additional 2 million 400 thousand Kroner.

The vegetables and fruits farmers cooperative association in Dekemhare sub-zone also contributed 60 thousand Nakfa, Medhanie- Alem Church in Dekemhare 50 thousand Nakfa, owners of water distribution trucks in Dekemhare 14 thousand Nakfa, cooperative association of Division 52 5 thousand Nakfa, ‘FT’ Milk and Milk products 10 thousand Nakfa, Islamic Awkaf in Mendefera 5 thousand Nakfa, cooperative association of Medhanie-Alem in Tesenei 2 thousand Nakfa, Mogolo sub-zone 13 thousand and 673 Nakfa, owners of water distribution trucks in Akordet 14 thousand Nakfa, association of Medhanie-Alem in Deki-Shehai 5 thousand Nakfa, Homid Private company 10 thousand Nakfa, Awet shoes factory 10 thousand Nakfa, Hawashait garment factory 10 thousand Nakfa, residents of Paradizo sub-zone 2 thousand Nakfa, Hibu Nurhussein mill 5 thousand Nakfa, retail shops in Asmara 54 thousand and 700 Nakfa and Sun Shine Hotel 110 thousand and 921 Nakfa.

Three nationals in Gejeret sub-zone, Central region also extended financial and material support to disadvantaged citizens.
