Support to disadvantaged citizens

In line with the guideline “Stay at Home” issued by the Government, administrations and nationals across the country are extending material and sanitation products support to disadvantaged citizens.

Asmara, 28 April 2020- In line with the guideline “Stay at Home” issued by the Government, administrations and nationals across the country are extending material and sanitation products support to disadvantaged citizens.

According to reports coming from several areas, the residents of Daero Paulos, Gala-Nshi sub-zone have extended food items to 130 disadvantaged families in their area, residents of Tsaeda Christian food items to 150 disadvantaged families worth 119 thousand Nakfa, a national in Arbaete Asmara contributed 10 thousand Nakfa while another national extended material support to 25 families.

In related news, a national in the port city of Massawa extended material support to 80 citizens and 10 thousand Nakfa to 14 disadvantaged nationals while owners of vegetables and fruits retailers in Massawa extended material support to 62 families.

Residents of the sub-zones of Geleb, Keren, Hagaz, Hamelmalo and Elaberet also extended material support to 834 disadvantaged families.
