Financial and material support to disadvantaged citizens

Communities in Berik sub zone, Central region and in Adi-Keih and Dubarwa sub zone, Southern region have extended financial and material support to disadvantaged families in their area.

Asmara, 17 May 2020 – Communities in Berik sub zone, Central region and in Adi-Keih and Dubarwa sub zone, Southern region have extended financial and material support to disadvantaged families in their area.

According to report from the Ministry of Health, residents of Berik sub zone extended around 360 145 thousand Nakfa and 50 quintals of food items to disadvantaged citizens in their areas.

Similarly, administrative areas in Adi-Keih sub zone, Southern region extended 43 quintals of food items and above 17 thousand Nakfa cash.

Likewise, administrative areas in Dubarwa sub zone have also extended material and financial support to residents.

A number of nationals inside and outside the country also decided that the families renting their houses to live free of payment ranging from one month till the corona virus is fully contained.
