Eritreans in Diaspora celebrate Independence Day anniversary

Eritrean nationals in the Diaspora have enthusiastically celebrated the 29th Independence Day anniversary under the theme “Resilience and Progress”

Asmara, 25 May 2020- Eritrean nationals in the Diaspora have enthusiastically celebrated the 29th Independence Day anniversary under the theme “Resilience and Progress”

The nationals in the US, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia celebrated the Independence Day anniversary featuring various programs through social medias in accordance with the guidelines of social distancing and stay at home.

At a ceremony conducted in Addis Ababa in which the staff members of the Eritrean Embassy and Permanent Representative of Eritrea at the Commission of African Union took part, Ambassadors Mr. Semere Russom and Mr. Araia Desta congratulated the Eritrean people and its Defense Forces.

Nationals in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also celebrated the Independence Day anniversary by renewing their pledge to strengthen contribution and participation in the effort by the people and Government of Eritrea to contain the spread of the corona virus.
