The leaders of China, Kenya and India as well as the Chairman of the Commission of the African Union sent messages of congratulations to the people and Government of Eritrea in connection with the 29th Independence Day anniversary.

Asmara, 25 May 2020- The leaders of China, Kenya and India as well as the Chairman of the Commission of the African Union sent messages of congratulations to the people and Government of Eritrea in connection with the 29th Independence Day anniversary.

President Xi Jinping of the People’s Republic of China, President Uhuru Kenyatta of the Republic of Kenya, President Ram Nath Kovind of India and Mr. Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairman of the Commission of the African Union, wished good health to President Isaias Afwerki and peace and prosperity to the Eritrean people.

The leaders also expressed readiness to develop friendly relations and mutual cooperation with Eritrea.

Indicating on the importance of developing friendly relations and mutual cooperation between Eritrea and China, President Xi Jinping expressed readiness to boost the existing friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries to higher level.

President Uhuru Kenyatta on his part said that Eritrea and Kenya enjoy cordial relations founded on shared values, principles and aspirations for socio-economic transformation for the wellbeing and prosperity of the two peoples and expressed commitment to work for elevating the relations to strategic cooperation for mutual benefit of the two peoples.
