Community support to disadvantaged families

The residents of Sheib sub-zone, Northern Red Sea region, and Dubarwa sub-zone, Southern region extended food items support to disadvantaged families in their areas with a view to ease the burden they might encounter due to the ‘Stay at Home’ guideline to combat the spread of corona virus.

Asmara, 12 June 2020- The residents of Sheib sub-zone, Northern Red Sea region, and Dubarwa sub-zone, Southern region extended food items support to disadvantaged families in their areas with a view to ease the burden they might encounter due to the ‘Stay at Home’ guideline to combat the spread of corona virus.

The Eritrean National War-Disabled Veterans’ Association (ENWDVA) branch in cooperation with the Sheib sub-zone administration also extended financial and food items support to the war disabled veterans in the sub-zone and similar support was provided to disabled veterans in Massawa sub-zone.

Similarly, the residents of Dubarwa sub-zone extended food items worth 111 thousand Nakfa to disadvantaged families while the National Association of Hearing Impaired extended 58 thousand Nakfa to 80 members of the association across the country.

In related news, owners of houses in various parts of the country and abroad have decided that the families renting their houses to live free of rental payment ranging from one to three months.
