Forty-four patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out in the past three days at Quarantine Centers in the Southern, Central, Gash Barka, and Northern Red Sea Regions.
Out of these, thirty-six patients are from Quarantine Centers in Senafe (10), Mendefera (8), Mai-Mine (6), Adi Quala (6), Dibarwa (3), and Adi Keih (3,) in the Southern Region. Four patients are from Quarantine Centers in Asmara, Central Region. Three other patients are from the Quarantine Center in Adibara, Gash Barka Region. The last patient is from a Quarantine Center in Massawa, Northern Red Sea Region.
On the other hand, one hundred two patients who have been receiving medical treatment in the Southern (90), and Central (12), Regions have recovered fully and have been discharged from these facilities.
The total number of recovered patients to-date has accordingly risen to 2538 while the number of deaths stands at seven.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country to-date has increased to 2988.
