Ninety-three patients have been diagnosed positive for COVID-19 in tests carried out today at Quarantine Centers in the Central, Southern, Gash Barka, and Anseba Regions.
Out of these, forty-three patients are from Quarantine Centers in Asmara, Central Region. Thirty one patients are from Quarantine Centers in Mendefera (15), Decamere (13), Mai-Mine (1), Adi Quala (1), and Areza (1); Southern Region. Fourteen patients are from Quarantine Centers in Barentu (5), Ali-Ghidir (5), and Adibara (4); Gash Barka Region. The last five patients are from Quarantine Center in Keren, Anseba Region.
On the other hand, one hundred fifty-two patients who have been receiving medical treatment in hospitals in the Central (85), Northern Red Sea (56), Anseba (6), and Southern Red Sea (5), Regions have recovered fully and have been discharged from these facilities.
The total number of recovered patients to-date has accordingly risen to 4,206 while the number of deaths is 14.
The total number of confirmed cases in the country to-date has increased to 4,690.
