Nationals abroad organize memorial services

Asmara, 23 November 2021- Eritrean nationals residing in Germany, Kuwait, Canada, Dubai and Northern Emirates, as well as Belgium, the Netherlands, and Israel organized memorial service on the passing away of veteran freedom fighters Mr. Alamin Mohammed Seid, Secretary of the People’s Front for Democracy and Justice, and Brig. General Negash Tesfatsion.

According to report, at a memorial service organized on 21 November in Berlin, Germany, Mr. Yohannes Weldu, Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy in Germany presented a brief history of the veteran fighters Mr. Alamin Mohammed Seid and Brig. General Negash Tesfatsion and reminded the nationals to implement the trust of the fallen heroes by reinforcing their participation in national affairs.

At a similar memorial service the nationals residing in Frankfurt and its environs organized on 20 November, Mr. Kahsai Tewelde, head of Public and Community affairs as well as Mr. Kibreab Tekeste, Consul General, reminded the nationals to live up to expectations of the fallen heroes.

Likewise, at the memorial service nationals in Kuwait organized, the Charge d’Affairs at the Eritrean Embassy Mr. Humed Yahiya reminded the nationals to implement the trust of the fallen heroes by reinforcing participation in national affairs and exert effort in transferring the noble examples and history of our martyrs to posterity.


Similarly, nationals in the Canadian cities of Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Vancouver and Regina, Western Canada, Toronto organized similar memorial service. At the event held in Toronto, the Head of Consular Affairs, Mr. Ahmed Imam and the Chairman of National Holidays Organizing Committee, Mr. Temesgen Tirfe called on the nationals to strengthen organizational capacity and contribution in national affairs.

Present at the service, the daughter of the late veteran fighter Alamin Mohammed Sied on her part expressed appreciation for the honor and respect the Eritrean people inside the country and outside have towards their martyrs.

At memorial services organized in Dubai and North Emirates, Eritrean nationals expressed conviction to renew their pledge to implement the trust of the martyrs and strengthen organizational capacity with the view to reinforce participation in national affairs.

Similar memorial services were also organized in various cities in the Netherlands, Belgium and other European cities as well as in Israel.
