Messages of congratulations
Asmara, 23 May 2022- The leaders of Italy, Palestine, China, and Swiss Federation sent messages of congratulations to the Government and people of Eritrea in connection with the 31st Independence Day anniversary.
President Sergio Mattarella of Italy, President Mahmoud Abbas of Palestine, President Ignazio Cassis of Swiss Federation, and President Xi Jinping of China wished good health to President Isaias Afwerki and peace and prosperity to the people of Eritrea.
President Sergio Mattarella of Italy expressed his country’s willingness to identify new areas of cooperation with Eritrea through consultation between the two countries.
President Xi Jinping of China on his part indicating that China and Eritrea have established good relations and strategic partnership, expressed readiness to strengthen bilateral friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation in various fields for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
