The Eritrean Soldier is the Eritrean People

 NCEA Statement                                                                                                                                                         10 July 2023

Those who try to associate the Eritrean soldier with atrocities  either have no clue about Eritrea and the Eritrean people or are members of the fast fading but still well-paid army of Orwellian fabricators whose job has been to invent and widely disseminate anything that demonizes this young African country. However, the Eritrean soldier is the Eritrean people—they are one and the same—driven and guided by the humanity of the people.

The latest attempt to question the humanity of the Eritrean soldier by the Washington Post using “satellite imagery” in a desperate attempt to make it sound authentic, is profoundly appalling. The article goes into great lengths—“interviewed [Tigrayan] witnesses,” “consulted seven independent experts,” etc.—in an elaborate effort to say that this was NOT an invention. However, Eritreans have seen it all the last decades. They have been victimized by such attempts for decades coming from the Tigray Peoples Liberation Front (TPLF) and their hired “experts” from Washington’s lobbying industry.

It is unfortunate that the Washington Post has published, without due diligence, the defamatory & planted stories of these “experts” to tar the image of an African soldier whose principal goal has been to liberate and protect his/ her highly victimized people for decades.
