President of African Development Bank toured development projects
Asmara, 02 September 2023– Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina, President of the African Development Bank, accompanied by President Isaias Afwerki toured development projects in the Dubarwa sub-zone.
The tour covered the dams of Mislam and Logo as well as water and soil conservation, agricultural infrastructure, agro-industry, solar energy system, and dairy farming in the areas.
Upon visiting the development projects, the delegation was provided briefings by the heads and experts of the projects about the construction of the dams with internal capacity and the potential they have in the economic development of the country.
Dr. Akinwumi A. Adesina expressed his gratitude for getting to observe firsthand Eritrea’s development initiatives with internal capacity and his expectation that the capacity registered will significantly contribute to the country’s people and government fulfilling their vision.
Dr. Gergis Teklemichael, Minister of Finance and National Development, Mr. Hagos Ghebrehiwet, Head of PFDJ Economic Affairs, Mr. Getachew Merhatsion, Head of Cartographic Information, and Mr. Kibreab Abraham, Manager of Livestock and Crops Corporation were also present during the tour.
