Eritrean nationals residing in Rome and environs hold meeting of resolute rebuff

In a meeting held on December 11in Rome, Eritrean nationals residing in Rome and its environs reiterated readiness for resolute rebuff, in addition to assessing their previous contribution to the national development drive.
Asmara, 13 December 2011- In a meeting held on December 11in Rome, Eritrean nationals residing in Rome and its environs reiterated readiness for resolute rebuff, in addition to assessing their previous contribution to the national development drive.

In the meeting, the Eritrean Ambassador to Italy, Mr. Zemede Tekle, gave briefings on the objective situation in the Homeland in particular and Horn region in general. He explained that Eritrea is marching towards higher development, and that ploys by enemy quarters would not divert the Eritrean people’s forward march.

The Ambassador further indicated that challenges strengthen the Eritrean people’s power, and called on the general public to further reinforce its unity and determination.

The participants on their part underscored that the illegal and unjust US sanction of 2009 was met with staunch rebuff on the part of the Eritrean people inside the country and abroad. Moreover, they requested for organizing similar events to voice their rebuff to the latest US-instigated sanctions resolution.
