Administrator Stresses Farming Community’s Role Towards Ensuring Success of Endeavors to Achieve Food Security

In a meeting he conducted with the inhabitants of Gala-Nefhi, Berikh and Serejeka sub-zones, the Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwet, stressed the role of the farming community towards ensuring the success of endeavors to achieve food security.
Serejeka, 7 May 2010 – In a meeting he conducted with the inhabitants of Gala-Nefhi, Berikh and Serejeka sub-zones, the Administrator of the Central region, Mr. Kahsai Gebrehiwet, stressed the role of the farming community towards ensuring the success of endeavors to achieve food security.

Emphasizing the paramount role of relentless effort on the part of farmers to raise productivity through making the necessary preparations, including water conservation, he reminded them to make effective utilization of fertilizers being provided by the regional Administration. He further called on the farmers to step up endeavors in soil and water conservation, as well as reforestation undertaking.
