Preparations for the 4th National Youth Festival in Sawa from July 16 to 19 under the theme “Youth: Pivot of the Future” are in the final stage, stated Lt. Colonel, Temesgen Samuel, Commander of the National Service Center in Sawa.
Sawa, 1 July 2010 – Preparations for the 4th National Youth Festival in Sawa from July 16 to 19 under the theme “Youth: Pivot of the Future” are in the final stage, stated Lt. Colonel, Temesgen Samuel, Commander of the National Service Center in Sawa.
The coordinating committee of the Festival indicated that the holding of the event at the academic and vocational training centre which brings youths together and bequeath the nation’s cultural values conveys significant message.
Lt. Colonel Temesgen expressed conviction that the Festival, which coincides with the graduation of the 23rd round of the National Service, would be successful.
The chairman of the 4th National Youth Festival, Mr. Zeresenai Tesfai, on his part explained that it is aimed at nurturing the culture and identity of youths, and that about 8,000 nationals from inside the country and abroad are expected to take part, in addition to members of the 23rd round National Service.
