The number of Eritrean youths residing abroad who are flocking to the Homeland at individual and group levels to spend their vacation is on the rise.
Asmara, 3 July 2010 – The number of Eritrean youths residing abroad who are flocking to the Homeland at individual and group levels to spend their vacation is on the rise.
Accordingly, a group of 300 youths from USA, Europe, the Middle East and Asia arrived here on July 1. The youths stated that they would spend their vacation in their country, besides personally participating in national programs which is part and parcel of the ongoing “No for Sanctions” project.
Mr. Ephrem Russom from Norway said that he participated in the 3rd ERI-Youth Festival in 2008 which enabled him to acquire valuable experience and benefit. He further explained that Eritrean youths in the Diaspora are always eager to take part in festival conducted in Sawa.
Ms. Liwam Tsegaberhan on her part expressed delight for taking part in the forthcoming ERI-Youth Festival which represents a vital platform for Eritrean youths to come together and share experience, in addition to discussing future plans.
Reports indicated that about 23,000 people are expected to participate in the 4th ERI-Youth Festival. In the course of the 3-day festival, various programs, including seminars, study papers, innovative and modification shows, as well as different competitions would be featured.
