Players and coordinators of the participating national teams of CECAFA expressed high impression with the prevailing peace and security in Eritrea.
Asmara, 14 August 2010 – Players and coordinators of the participating national teams of CECAFA expressed high impression with the prevailing peace and security in Eritrea.
The manager of the Ugandan national team under the age of 20, Mr. Faisal Mohammed, said that he is visiting Eritrea for the second time and that he witnessed major progress in the course of the visit that pave the way for the country’s bright future.
Member of the Executive Committee of the Ugandan Football Federation, Mr. Mike Leti, on his part expressed admiration to the warm welcome and hospitality accorded them which enabled him to learn that Eritreans are peace-loving and hospitable people.
Likewise, the coach of the Sudanese national soccer team, Mr. Salim Suleiman, stated that the warm hospitality accorded them and the preparations made were beyond their expectation.
Similarly, the manager of the Zanzibari national team, Mr. Masud Ata, explained that Eritrea’s excellent organization of such a regional tournament as a young nation deserves admiration. In this connection, he said that the necessary conducive environment has been laid for the tournament.
The captain of the Zanzibari soccer team, Mr. Riyatus Moris, said that he has been able to recognize that Eritrea is endowed with salubrious weather condition and expressed hope that there would take place an appealing football match.
