Shambuko Sub-Zone: Various Programs Under Implementation To Achieve Food Security

Various programs are being implemented in Shambuko sub-zone with a view to enabling families achieve food security and become self-supporting, according to the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone. Shambuko, 8 October 2010 – Various programs are being implemented in Shambuko sub-zone with a view to enabling families achieve food security and become self-supporting, according to the Agriculture Ministry’s branch in the sub-zone.

Also in line with endeavors to rehabilitate needy families, a 2 million Nakfa worth 368 goats and 55 oxen have been extended to needy families in the sub-zone. Accordingly, each family received 5 goats or one oxen, and that such assistance would make due contribution in improving their living standard.

The beneficiaries expressed satisfaction with the support and stressed its significance in upgrading their life style.
