Durfo Inhabitants Call For Alleviation Of Transport Problem

The inhabitants of Durfo administrative area called on the concerned bodies to alleviate the transportation problems they are encountering since the 16km-long Beleza-Durfo dirt road was damaged due to strong rains.
Durfo, 7 November 2010 – The inhabitants of Durfo administrative area called on the concerned bodies to alleviate the transportation problems they are encountering since the 16km-long Beleza-Durfo dirt road was damaged due to strong rains. The road, which was initially constructed at the cost of 28 million Nakfa at the beginning of this year, has now been renovated.

Mr. Omar Ibrahim, the administrator of Durfo disclosed that the farmers of the areas engaged in cultivating fruits and vegetables are encountering problems in transporting their products to Asmara.

The Beleza-Durfo road provides services for the local inhabitants of Daa’rotai, Nebera, Arberebue, Ela Higus, Antsefet, Adi-Shuma, Menteli, Quazein, Madet, Argolo, R’esi Harmaz and R’esi Adi.
