Keren, 23 November 2010 – The residents of Keren town highlighted the need for undertaking the necessary study so that development programs may be effectively implemented in the set timetable.
They pointed out that although they have managed to become beneficiaries of improved social services, they expressed concern with some projects that have been halted in the process of implementation. In this respect, they urged the concerned party to give due attention to such state of affairs.
Noting that the implementation of development programs should serve the purpose of the urbanization of the town and the benefit of the public, the residents underscored the need for conducting all-round study before proceeding to implementation so that they may render durable service. They particularly voiced concern with the halting of construction projects such as bus terminal that have negatively affected the charm of the town.
Replying to the public complaints, the Administrator of Keren town, Mr. Tekie Kelati, stated that the necessary action would be taken to put an end to such practices.
