Student enrolment on the rise in Afambo Administrative area

The participation of students in general and females in particular is showing growth in the Elementary Boarding School in Afambo administrative area, Southern Red Sea region, according to Mr. Mohammed Edu.

Afambo, 20 January 2011 – The participation of students in general and females in particular is showing growth in the Elementary Boarding School in Afambo administrative area, Southern Red Sea region, according to Mr. Mohammed Edu.

He said that the school initially commenced its work with less than 70 students. At present, however, the number of students from surrounding villages has risen to 316, Mr. Mohammed added. He also called on the concerned bodies to back up endeavors towards alleviating shortage of classrooms.

There exist schools ranging from kindergarten to junior level in Afambo, one of the seven administrative areas in Central Denkalia.
