ENWVA assesses work accomplishment

In a meeting it conducted, the Eritrean National Association of War-disabled Veterans (ENWVA) disclosed that over one million free-interest loan extended to members in 2010 towards enabling them become self-supporting have borne fruitful outcome.

Asmara, 20 January 2011 – In a meeting it conducted, the Eritrean National Association of War-disabled Veterans (ENWVA) disclosed that over one million free-interest loan extended to members in 2010 towards enabling them become self-supporting have borne fruitful outcome.

The Association indicated that it distributed bee hives, water motors, mills, and sewing machines worth over 640,000 Nakfa to a total of 295 members in the Administrative regions of Central, Northern Red Sea, Anseba and Gash-Barka.

It also received financial and material assistance from branches in Sweden, Denmark, Holland, Kuwait, Norway, Stuttgart and Frankfurt, towards rehabilitating members, the ENWVA further indicated. The Association further disclosed that it organized training to female members, in collaboration with partners.

According to reports, the ENWVA stated that it plans to organize additional savings and micro-credit scheme, expand electricity supply at Haseito agricultural project and rehabilitating members through livestock.
