Tiessa land allotted in Aregit-Mekrem and Shiha

Tiess land has been allotted in the villages of Aregit-Mekrem and Shiha, Mendefera sub-zone to 66 nationals for residential purpose.

Mendefera, 21 February 2011 – Tiess land has been allotted in the villages of Aregit-Mekrem and Shiha, Mendefera sub-zone to 66 nationals for residential purpose.

The head of the Ministry of Land, Water and Environment branch in the sub-zone, Mr. Abraham Gebremariam, explained that the land was allotted to citizens who fulfilled the necessary requirements, and that each beneficiary received 400 squire meters of land plot.

The head of economic development in the sub-zone, Mr. Berhane Furuy, said on his part that the land allotment process was delayed due to various reasons and called on the beneficiaries to make good use of the now allotted land.
