The Symposium of the Ministry of Public Works which was conducted here in the capital concluded today. Speaking at the closing session, the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Abraha Asfaha, commended the ideas put forth at the symposium towards reinforcing the work of the Ministry, including the practice of ethical standard.
Asmara, 27 April 2011 – The Symposium of the Ministry of Public Works which was conducted here in the capital concluded today. Speaking at the closing session, the Minister of Public Works, Mr. Abraha Asfaha, commended the ideas put forth at the symposium towards reinforcing the work of the Ministry, including the practice of ethical standard.
In the course of the 3-day symposium, various papers were presented focusing on the development of human resource in the sector, expansion of group homes, works of engineering over the past 20 years, construction contracts, ensuring the quality and standard of construction materials, water and sewage system in construction works and infrastructure development, among others.
Alongside the symposium, an exhibition was staged highlighting the accomplishments in the Public Works sector since independence.
