Inhabitants Of Emberemi Express Satisfaction For Obtaining Social Services

The inhabitants of Emberemi, Massawa sub-zone, and expressed satisfaction for getting access to basic social services. They told ERINA that the construction of the Massawa-Emberemi-Wekiro road has relieved them from the long-standing transport problem they used to encounter.
Massawa, 6 May 2011 – The inhabitants of Emberemi, Massawa sub-zone, and expressed satisfaction for getting access to basic social services. They told ERINA that the construction of the Massawa-Emberemi-Wekiro road has relieved them from the long-standing transport problem they used to encounter.

The Acting head of the area, Mr. Idris Ma’etuq, said that the inhabitants were compelled to pay high tariff to travel to Massawa due to lack of suitable road. At present, however, they have become beneficiaries of speedy transport service at fair price, including ambulance thanks to the construction of the Massawa-Emberemi road.

He also highlighted the need for preparing master plan for urban developments in the area and facilitating the putting in place of health institutions.

The local inhabitants recalled the hardship and difficulty they used to encounter as regards obtaining transport service, especially taking pregnant mothers and patients to hospital.

Emberemi is one of the 5 administrative areas in Massawa sub-zone.
