Pilgrims Headed By The Patriarch Returned From Jerusalem

Pilgrims headed by His Holiness Abune Dioskoros, 4th Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church, that also included members of the Synod, Bishops and the faithful returned home from Jerusalem. Asmara, 6 May 2011 – Pilgrims headed by His Holiness Abune Dioskoros, 4th Patriarch of the Eritrean Orthodox Tewahdo Church, that also included members of the Synod, Bishops and the faithful returned home from Jerusalem.

Reports indicated that the prayers and other spiritual activities conducted by the Eritrean religious figures headed by the Patriarch left deep impression.

A total of 200 pilgrims headed by His Holiness Abune Dioskoros visited Jerusalem for the 2nd time at group level. Following the four of various religious sites, the pilgrims expressed tribute to martyrs.

The pilgrims were also joined by a number of Eritrean nationals from the USA, Italy, Germany, Britain and the Netherlands. They stayed in Jerusalem from April 20 to May 1.
